Job Description
Marketing at Aviva is not just about promoting our products and services. It’s about selling who we are as a company, creating experiences that delight millions of customers, and starting conversations that inspire those yet to sample what we have to offer. Doing it well takes an analytical mind, to understand the people we’re talking to and what makes them tick. So if you are the sort of person that likes to think outside of the box and that has creative flair to come up with captivating ways to get people’s attention, then this is the field to be in!
Your role, more specifically: You’ll be working at the centre of our Marketing Team and throughout your journey as a graduate we will provide you with the knowledge and support to enable you to:
- Plan and execute campaigns, ensuring strategies line up with what we want to achieve as a business
- Make recommendations on the best media mix
- Manage engagement with 3rd parties such as Facebook and Google
- Take the lead on testing and optimisation, consistently looking at how we can improve what we do to achieve even better results.
Daily, you’ll get to work with analytical experts, eCommerce maestros and content management specialists, among many others, to understand our customers and their online user journeys, to ensure that we create campaigns that will really connect with our audiences.
It is unlikely that any two days will be the same, but whatever your day does entail, you’ll be working on interesting and challenging initiatives alongside a community of highly skilled and experienced marketing professionals who will be on hand to support and encourage you every step of the way. This is a brilliant learning environment for someone starting their career journey in marketing – a place where everyone is welcome to share ideas, ask questions and seek out advice.
What's in it for you?
- A permanent job from day one
- A starting salary of £30,600
- Support towards relevant professional qualifications
- 29 days holiday, plus bank holidays
- Contributory pension scheme
- Discounts on all Aviva products
- Annual performance-related bonus
- Share Save scheme
- Flexible working and wellbeing support
What do we need from you?
- You will either already have a degree in any subject or be on track to graduate by the end of Summer 2023
- A flair for communication and a passion for marketing
- A good understanding of different social media channels
- Fantastic planning and organisational skills
- A flexible approach and ability to adapt to changing situations
- A genuine desire to do and make things better.
Where will you be based? Our Marketing roles are in Bristol, Norwich, York and London – beautiful, buzzing cities in which to launch your career.
But you might not need to be in the office every day. At Aviva, we ask our teams to think about when they work in the office and when they choose to work at home. We call this Smart Working. This will vary depending on your role and your personal circumstances but 3 days in the office, and 2 days from home is a very typical example. As we do this office/home blend you will need to live in commutable distance to one of the locations listed above.
About Us
We’re a leading international insurance, savings, retirement and investment business. When the worst happens, we’re here to put the wrongs right. You might be thinking that we’re just another boring, corporate firm. But we don’t all wear suits and shiny shoes here. We’re proud to be different and just like our customers, our people are a mix of cultures, genders and ages.
Like the sound of us? Then we like the sound of you.
Press 'apply' to be taken through to our online application, where you'll answer a short questionnaire about your motivations. You'll also be able to attach your CV. If you match our criteria, we’ll ask you to complete our Situational Strengths and Numerical Reasoning tests. Pass those and next will be a video interview. The final stage is a virtual assessment day, with tasks that enable you to show us what you're good at and what you enjoy.
Impress us there and we'll offer you a role to start in September 2023.
