Job Description

Location: Norwich or York
Hours: Full time, permanent
Work type: Hybrid
Salary: £26,700

The Opportunity

Change Delivery is all about making things better – for our customers, our colleagues and the way we work. If you’re naturally curious, love seeing the bigger picture and aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo, this could be the perfect place for you.

You’ll help us get to the heart of problems and create solutions that make a real difference. It’s ideal for people who enjoy organising – whether that’s information or people – influencing how things are done and driving change across the business.

You don’t need to have studied technology to join us. What matters most is your curiosity, your interest in change and your willingness to learn. With your strengths and passion, we’ll teach you the rest. You’ll have a structured training programme and a strong support network to help you develop.

These are permanent roles from day one. During your first 18–22 months (depending on your studies), you’ll spend around 80% of your time gaining hands-on experience and 20% studying for your Apprenticeship qualifications. You’ll also have a structured learning programme, including additional professional qualifications, giving you a solid foundation to build and succeed in your career.

That’s not all. You’ll join our two-year central development programme, giving you everything you need to become a well-rounded professional. It’s a great chance to learn, grow and make an impact from the start.

Whatever your role and whatever your background, you’ll get the training you need to shine bright as well as opportunities to develop long-term in your career. We’re continuously moving forward as a business, and we’ll make sure you do too.

And if you need support with your online application or you need to apply another way, we’ve got you covered there, too.  Just reach out to avivaearlycareers@aviva.com

From day one, I felt welcome and part of the team. Aviva has a strong culture of encouragement and collaboration, which makes it a brilliant place to learn, grow and contribute. - Current Apprentice

The Roles

There are two role types on offer within our Change Delivery Pathway, based in one or other of Norwich and York: both buzzing places in which to launch your career. We champion hybrid working at Aviva (three days in the office and two days from home every week is typical), so you’ll need to live within commuting distance of the office where your chosen role is based. You’ll get the benefit of spending time with colleagues in real life as well as gaining more work-life balance. Not all role types are available in every location, so when you apply you’ll be able to let us know which roles and which locations you prefer.

Business Analyst (Norwich or York): you’ll help uncover what customers really need and work with teams to deliver practical solutions that make a real difference. You’ll ask insightful questions, challenge assumptions and explore new perspectives to maximise opportunities for improvement. Whether that’s analysing data, solving problems, removing blockers, or shaping smarter ways of working, you’ll help us do things better: for our customers, our business, and your own development.

As well as your Level 4 Business Analysis Apprenticeship qualification (equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC)), you’ll also get a BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis upon successful completion.

Project Manager (Norwich): you’ll keep delivery on track and make sure everything runs smoothly. You’ll remove blockages, manage risks and budgets, and work with teams, suppliers and strategic partners to deliver great outcomes for customers. From planning and organising to inspiring teams and paving the way for successful delivery, you’ll make sure projects are completed efficiently, effectively and in the right way, at the right time.

As well as gaining your Level 4 Project Manager Apprenticeship qualification (equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC)), we’ll also support you to achieve the Association of Project Management (APM) Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) and the APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ).
