Job Description

Risk is fundamental to everything we do at Aviva. From helping us make better decisions with regard to our customers and the way we invest funds to ensuring that we stick to all the necessary regulatory guidelines. Risk is a growth area for Aviva that's full of exciting career opportunities. Some roles focus on our change agenda, supporting key programmes across the business. Others are more focused on reporting and insights, helping the business shape its decisions.

Whichever path you choose, with the help of our comprehensive training, you'll become an expert in all things risk and governance. Not only will you develop your own understanding, you'll learn how to share that knowledge, how to simplify what can seem complicated and difficult to navigate, and bring others with you on our journey.

Where will you be based? 

Our Risk opportunities are based in Bristol, Eastleigh, Sheffield, and York – all great locations in which to launch your career.  

But you might not need to be in the office every day. At Aviva, we ask our teams to think about when they work in the office and when they choose to work at home. We call this Smart Working.  

It varies depending on your role and personal circumstances, but three days in the office and two from home is fairly typical. When you move to each new assignment, you'll discuss this with your Leader and agree what works for you, your team and the business.   

This mix of home- and office-based working does, however, mean that you'll need to live (or relocate) within commuting distance of one of the locations above.

There, you'll be asked to complete a short questionnaire about your motivations, and submit it along with a copy of your CV.  

If you match our criteria (or get pretty close), we’ll ask you to complete our Situational Strengths and Numerical Reasoning tests.  

Pass those and next will be a video interview.  

The final stage is a virtual assessment day, with tasks that enable you to show us what you're good at and what you enjoy.  

Impress us there and we'll offer you a role to start in September 2024.
