The opportunity

In our Corporate Functions graduate pathway, you’ll help shape the future of Aviva.

Creative, analytical, strategic: whatever your strengths, there’s space for you here. You might be championing our brand, supporting transformation projects, or building trust with customers and colleagues alike. In return, you’ll be given real responsibility, the freedom to grow, and the support to thrive.

Whatever your role and whatever your background, you’ll get the training you need to shine bright as well as opportunities to develop long-term in your career. We’re continuously moving forward as a business, and we’ll make sure you do too.

You’ll start with our two year central development programme, designed to help you become a well-rounded professional and a future business leader.

And if you need support with your online application or you need to apply another way, we’ve got you covered there, too. Just reach out to avivaearlycareers@aviva.com.

“The supportive environment here has been fantastic – I’ve learned a lot, asked countless questions, and enjoyed every moment. I’m excited to keep evolving in my role, gaining new skills, and exploring future opportunities within this dynamic company.” - Current Graduate

The role

There are four roles on offer within our Corporate Functions Pathway, based in one or other of London, Norwich and York: all buzzing places in which to launch your career. We champion hybrid working at Aviva (typically three days in the office and two days from home), so you’ll need to live within commuting distance of the office where your chosen role is based. You’ll get the benefit of spending time with colleagues in real life as well as gaining more work-life balance. Not all role types are available in every location, so when you apply let us know which roles and which locations you prefer.

Brand and Corporate Affairs (London, Norwich and York): In Brand & Corporate Affairs, you’ll help build trust in Aviva. Whether it’s shaping standout campaigns, supporting our sustainability goals, or influencing public policy, your work will help customers, colleagues, and communities believe in what we stand for. You’ll rotate across teams like communications, brand, sustainability, and public affairs, gaining broad experience and working on high-impact projects. If you’re a strong communicator, curious about how businesses influence the world around them, and ready to take on real responsibility, this is your chance to grow fast and make a difference.

Change & Transformation (Norwich): In Change & Transformation, you’ll help make Aviva smarter, simpler, and better. You’ll work on real projects that improve how we operate and deliver better customer experiences: from rolling out new tech to refining business processes. You’ll collaborate across teams, solve problems, and lead change that’s fair, efficient, and customer-focused. If you’re organised, proactive, and passionate about doing things properly, this is your opportunity to make meaningful change happen.

Risk & Governance (Norwich, York): In Risk & Governance, you’ll help protect our customers and our reputation. You’ll review marketing content to ensure it’s clear, compliant, and aligned with regulations. You’ll work across teams, analyse data, and support risk-related queries. If you’re detail-oriented, curious, and passionate about doing things right, this is a space where you’ll grow fast and make a real impact.

People (London, Norwich): In Strategic Workforce Planning, you’ll help shape how Aviva plans for its people. You’ll forecast workforce needs, analyse data, and support strategies that help colleagues thrive. You’ll solve real business challenges and streamline HR processes, all while building skills in analysis, communication, and critical thinking. If you’re curious about how big companies plan for the future, this is your chance to get involved and grow.
